I almost agree. I really think Yahoo!answers ought to judge violations. It seems to me that they don't bother. Oh, they SAY you can appeal, but they don't look at the flagged stuff, obviously.
But then the whole thing could become a forum for racists and other mean-heads without something. Even now there is a guy going around P&S making racist questions. So a LITTLE enforcement is fine.
But really. I got a violation notice for nothing. I sent in the appeal. They said that they'd look at it. I sent in 11 follow up queries. Nuttin'. Now that ain't right and I agree with you there.

I got a violation the other day and I didn't do anything wrong, I protested it and they have not responed. So I agree with you, but then again what would we do about skin head charlie and $mitty. I guess I'm trying to say Y/A needs to lighten up just a little! Give the jerks a violation!

Opinions are like another part of the body, everybody has one and they all stink. The whole purpose behind the violations clause is that this is a friendly, clean and hopefully honest place to ask a question and get several answers from someone other than the slimers.

The thought is in the right place, but the idea is flawed...
Think about all the people who could set up multiple ID's to give themselves Best answers, and this free "get out of violations free" cards...
Would be abused even worse that Y!A is now..IMNSHO..

I respectfully disagree with u cause there are a handful of real___ who are insulting beyond belief. Strong opininions and gross out humor are fine and should be allowed but when people start talking about how wonderful Hitler was or raping children then they need to go. Also if someone posts for help say with mental health, cancer, being abused and some waste of space is getting off insulting them that should be stopped as well

I agree whole heartily, especially when the supposed "violation" has already been chosen as Best Answer!

If there were no guidelines for users then it could potentially become a cantankerous cacophony of carnal creativity centered on corrupting children.
