19 and 20 ... the best night life would be in Romania (for a fraction of the price of any other W. European country). It's inexpensive, the girls are drop dead gorgeous and love to meet foreigners... wear protection if you're going to, you know... better safe than sorry!

Go by the beach - Mamaia, Mangalia, Olimp (most women just wear thongs... and that's it)... See Bucharest, go on Lipscani to check out the underground night clubs. Go to Regie, student campus and club area. Have some "nice" clothes... some have dress code (no gym shoes). Eat some mici with mustard, bread, and a Romanian beer - Ursus comes to mind, have a chicken shawerma (Arab wrap - delicious! - has fries in it!!!), and get some papanasi for desert (yumm).

If you're into castles go see Bran Castle, see Sighisoara (birthplace of Dracula and a beautiful medieval town), go to Cluj - student town, lots of foreigners too, and Sibiu - cultural capital of Europe this year. France, Italy, England - whatever... they're all beautiful. Every country in Europe has something unique to offer. You won't regret it. Remember that travel is about being spontaneous and feeling the freedom. Go with your whim. When you'll be older you'll look back on it and be glad you did it! Just be careful, be smart, be polite. And for god's sake... have fun!

I offered my advice on my country and I'm sure others will do the same for theirs. As I said, you cannot go wrong with Europe. Just DO IT!

Money, take your debit card, and ask before traveling what the costs are. (Should be little, if they charge more than token money, ask around for a different card that is free if charge.)
You can use almost every ATM if your card uses the Visa or MasterCard system. American Express is not used often.
Do not take dollars, other than an emergency amount. High risk of stealing, low exchange rates.
Credit cards are not as often used in Europe as in the USA, but most restaurants, hotels and hostels will accept them. Getting money on them out of an ATM may be much more expensive.

The weather in Western Europe is unpredictable, can be nice and sunny, but can also be cool and rainy.
More to the east and south the weather patterns do stabilize and the average temps will be high in summer.
Scandinavia can be cool too, but often they have great weather up there.

Meeting locals when traveling is always hard, but if you go to hostels you have a good chance the meet Europeans also traveling, as you do on campsites.

There are more things to do than you can publish in one book, so when you know where you want to go, start looking on internet, buy a good guidebook (Lonely Planet) and read up.
Think about sightseeing, museums, drinking on street side cafes, clubbing, castles, and a lot more.
