Yes they do. It's the battery. In fact last year Sony and Dell had a massive recall because the batteries were catching on fire. There are web sites that offer laptop bottoms for better cooling. But this will only keep components from heating up to high. And will not keep the battery cool. Although it won't hurt

Yes, I have 3 and they sure do get hot on my lap. I started putting a pillow on my legs under the laptop.

yes 2 weeks ago...I went to walmart & bought this little shelf thing...I sit on my bed and put the shelf thing over my legs/lap...it's like a portable desk.works out perfect...I also have a fan in my bdrm....and have that blowing my way...very comfy & I never get hot...I also have a pc in the living room...so i'm on both.at different times of the day

Yes. Yes it get's hot. I set in on my desk and not on my lap sometimes just because it makes me almost sweat.

No cause i dont have a laptop i have a mobile internet which cost £1 for a day how good is that my mummy is getting me a pink laptop can laptops have broadband? Pink is fav colour

yep. and yes. sometimes. it depends. i sprawl across my bed some nights. or sit with my back against a pillow and my wall. with my laptop on my thighs. but if it gets too hot i open my legs a little so the hot part isnt burning me. lol.

it does that cus your lap is blocking the fan you should not keep it on your lap for too long you should keep it on a desk or table or even a chair so the fan can blow out

I actually haven't used my laptop on my lap. I usually have it on the table and have it plugged in so the battery doesn't die on me.
