What is my favorite group, the Beatles or Abba?
Um... neither is MY favorite.
'tis better to ask "which group do you like better?"
However, one cannot deny that the Beatles and ABBA both made major contributions to the musical record, however - since I would say that the Beatles decided to go many different directions with their music, rather than stick with one genere for their entire career - that they are the better group.
Yet, Dancing Queen is just the bomb.

I enjoy the Beatles more. Abba has a sound that is to upbeat and energetic for me. The Beatles have a nice smooth sound, and they have good lyrics unlike some Abba songs like "Dancing Queen".

The Beatles were much better than Abba. Why?
Because The Beatles had John Lennon--who was
a genius when it came to "imagining" a world with
no possession.
(I wonder if YOU can.)
A world where there's "Nothing to kill or die for. A
brotherhood of man."
You can say he was a dreamer. But he was not the
only one. I hope some day you'll join him.
(Not that that means "the world will live as one.")
Sigh. Oh, well.

Without hesitation, The Beatles, Abba is ok but The Beatles were phenomenal. There really is no comparison.

Abba was great, I love the 80's ballads...but The Beatles wins this one, hands down.
Their exploration of different realms in rock music progressed as the genre itself evolved. They had their mod look, 'a la first performance at the Ed Sullivan show, and nearing the end of their music career as a group, they were letting their hair grow and tripping on acid.
Each of them was uniquely talented, and offered their own element to their music. George Harrison remains one of my favourite guitarists, great melodies.
I think that the essence of The Beatles was their ability to evolve their music with the times, yet still sound cutting edge.

The Beatles because they have a more complex sound. They grew a lot from "I wanna Hold your Hand" to "A Day in the Life". Every Abba song sounds the same to me. I honestly can't tell one from another.

Abba. I'm not exactly sure why, but I just like their music much better. It seems more upbeat and it makes me feel better than Beatles. Besides, 'Yellow Submarine' just kind of made Beatles music less appealing. I hate that song. (Not saying that I don't like the Beatles cuz I LOVE them)

ABBA. I love all their songs. They are jumpy and fun and really cool.
I like Beatles too of course but I would choose ABBA first
