Its a physiological defense mechanism. When the body gets
cold it prepares to maintain its core temperature. An erection
is caused by blood leaving the protection of the body to what
amounts to a tissue "sponge." The inside of a penis being
porous like a sponge, that is. The colder a man gets the less
possible it is to get aroused. Exceptions do exist.

im not sure about the details, but its how the body is made. if its cold it gets smaller and gets closer to the body to warm up. and if its hot it loosens and gets further from the body to cool down. so if its cold, then its trying to get as close to the body as possible and when you get an erection the oppasite happens

aroused is hot, not cold. that's the reason is.
