Dont freak out. Thats the first step. You dont need to freak out, its unecessary! Im not catholic or religious either ....heck i dont even HAVE a religion, so that just goes to show that you dont have to have a religion to go to a catholic school! The same exact thing happened to me, i transferred from a public school to a private catholic school but i was in the 3rd grade so i wasnt too nervous. Just be yourself. Dont let people pressure you to act differently, or you will find yourself hanging out with people that you dont have any interest in! Another tip- have fun and be confident! If you step into a new school looking scared and defeated, you wont have any fun and you might not make as many friends as you would if you look confident and inviting! So to sum it all up- be yourself, be confident, and have fun! Enjoy your new school!

Relax. Have a good time. Here's a prayer someone gave me a long time ago. Print it out and put it in your bag. Remember it any time you get nervous or scared.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Make friends, make small talk with the girl or guy next to your in homeroom, he or she might give you the details about the teachers, and who to watch out for.
Join clubs, sports, or whatever activities you can find.
Because joining a school where you don't know anyone is hard, and finding people who have the same interests as you will seriously help--big time.

lol. dont freak! it doesn't work trust me. I had to go through the same thing as you. What i basically did was walk up to people who looked friendly. or some people walked up to me.Try finding people with common interests. It's really not that bad i promise. I was dreading the same thing but when i went t my new school i actually enjoyed it. As for the uniforms, yeah i had to get used to it. at least you dont have to rush & find soemthing to wear. b/c you know exactly what you have to wear. lol
Goodluck!

Try to act like yourself, only start helping people out when they drop thier books, etc.etc., but don't overdo it.
Greet people that look friendly. Say thanks if someone helps you.
