yeah.. very true i find it a little unbearable that some women can do this.. i understand women who are pregnant after having numbers of miscarriages when they are weary..
im 21wks pregnant, if i was to have a miscarriage at least i know that i never gave up everything and still had it happen...
i do believe a few things like some foods to be wary of and not watching fire works after at least 20wks would make sense, the child can than hear, it would affect them... as for some woman taking it too far i guess its up to them but i just get upset when women get pregnant and complain about getting fat or being uncomfortable, its one of the best things that could ever happen to a woman, why complain...at least we have an excuse!!!!
i do believe pregnant women get alot more attention and can get away with murder, i could get away with anything with my hubby, i could lay around and have him treat me like the queen but bugger that, id prefer to be out and about and enoying these special 9 months. gardening, re-spraying our car, running around, eating anything i feel like & being me! being handicap is just not the way to go.
xox
thanks for making a point with what you said, i do hear you!!!!

well ill do this one at a time.
heat up leftovers:
depending what your going threw. my first pregnancy i couldnt even think about eating without being sick, never mind actually getting to the point of heating it up.
my second pregnancy if i am hungry and dont eat im sick, otherwise i dont care what it is, if i can heat it and eat it, im makeing it now.
bath while 6 weeks pregnant???
umm afraid the watert will wash your baby out of you? half the people who get pregnant still dont know they are pregnant at 6 weks and do everything.
bath during pregnancy, hey its nice relaxing, and if the baby is moveing too much calms the baby. if your in false labor helps get rid of it. if your at any point in pregnancy ide say bath is better. personally i get lightheaded if i stay standing too long, and i love the feel of the shower, besides that a bath just seems financially the better of the 2, then again i take 20 min showes, and 2 hour baths. (5 min shower would fill my bath.
pepperoni pizza:
if the smell gags you then stay away from the pizza ria. otherwise its not a healthrisk to eat pizza.
car: i dont drive, so dont know.
swimming:
swimming is the very best excersise a pregnant woman can do to stay in shape while she is pregnant. it doesnt put any strain on the baby, and even makes you feel better and lighter in the water.
yeah i agree with you on some questions. no pregnancy is not a handicap. sure there may be times where morning sickness makes you feel really ill, and tired, but dont traet pregnancy like its a perfect excuse.
(personally around 7-9 weeks i had a bad spell with morning sickness and could baredly get out of bed, let alone do cleaning and visiting people, but every person is difforent, and i got over it soon enough. but some of the questions do become a bit much.

I'm only eighteen weeks pregnant, but the only thing I've changed about my life is drinking so much caffiene (I've been wanting to do it forever, now I have an excuse), I don't clean the litter box anymore, and under my doctor's strong advice, I stopped working. (I'm high risk, and my work required some heavy lifting, and about 12 hours on my feet per day five days a week. Doctor said to quit or I'd probably hurt myself or this baby.) Other than that, I'm the leftover queen, I swim at least once a week. I drive when I need to. I haven't had a chance to watch fireworks, but I'd love too!!! Haha. If anything, I'm more outgoing in this pregnancy, because it's given me so much energy. My cousin, however, is a couple of weeks ahead of me, but at like eight weeks, she was all, "Oh! My back hurts. Will you get me this, but make sure you wash your hands!" Or, "Oh! I don't know how I'll make it through this pregnancy. It's just so hard being pregnant." It makes me laugh, honestly. Sorry, this turned out to be so long....

i agree that pregnancy should not be treated as a handicap, but a lot of first time moms or really young moms out there may really not know these things and are just seeking advice from those who have been there before and already know. i'm 40 weeks pg with my second child and i don't feel handicap either and i hate when people treat me like i can't do anything alone just because i'm pg. i just recently stopped working and i'm still driving my own car by myself and i go grocery shopping by myself and bathe by myself. i still exercise and go on walks and do laundry and cook and pick up my 32 pound daughter. i have been doing all of this the entire pregnancy and i feel just fine doing it. unless there is a medical reason for you to avoid doing certain tasks during pregnancy than i feel that you should go on doing your normal daily activities. everyone is different though. good luck.

They ask because there is no many "Old wive's tales" out there. Also, some women, such as myself cannot take a bath while pregnant because of Incompetent Cervix. It is not able to be detected until it is either too late or almost too late (I lost a baby girl at 21 weeks last Aug.) so it is safer to just avoid taking a bath.
BTW: There is not enough radiation emitting from a microwave to harm a baby, nor is there from a computer. They do not have to stand in front of the microwave while the food is heating either!

To answer this simply I think lots of pregnant women have been swallowed up by all the myths and personal feelings of reletives instead of doing the research on there own or using plain ole common sense while pregnant. I to was told no baths during pregnancy. It was common sense to me that this must be when in the 3rd trimester and there was a chance of waters breaking and the women not knowing it. Truth is common sense isn't so common now and days.

there are very few people I know that act like this!! It is true some people are wimps and do not handle pregnancy as well as others but what your starting is kind of over board. Now I am pregnant with my 3rd and I have worked with my first 2 till I was like 6 mos. I actually don't work now but I have so much to do with my active 2 and 4 yr old.

LOL, you are so right. You are not handicapped, and those suggestions are totally way off.
I didn't know a pregnant woman isn't allowed pepperoni pizza. Not allowed to watch fireworks? Goodness... that is unheard of.
Man... I had 2 very complicated and scary full-term pregnancies, yet I wasn't even that off the wall. :)

Not everyone knows everything there is to know about pregnancy. I was personally gold NO BATHS during my first few weeks of pregnancy due to the misscarrage factor. Some say yes, some say no. Instead of eating that pepperoni pizza and thinking OMG was i not suppose to eat that, and could htat hurt my baby? They ask because they want to do what's best for the baby. I know when i was pregnant the first time i had NO clue what i was suppose to do, and not to do.

It's a huge responsibility. It's somewhat natural to look around for help when there's something so epic going on inside you.
I was like you, though, up until the end of my twin pregnancy, when I was so overwhelmed I cried most of the time and couldn't even decide what to eat off a hospital menu!
