They do know. I think you're confusing them with a different relegion. They don't force their way into your house.

And sugarbutt you're wrong. They don't all think they're one of the 144,000 going to heaven. That sure would be dumb knowing that there are over 6 million of them now wouldn't it? Don't you feel smart now?

Firstly, sorry if you were misinformed, We are not asking to come in. Now days, it really isn't safe anyway. Of course, some people have a little bit harder time taking no for an answer, but we strive to respect the wishes of the person at the door.

It seems impossible to imagine an actual Jehovah's Witness minister pushing past a householder and entering his home without permission.

When unhappy householders complain that "Jehovah's Witnesses" perform some undesirable practice, the householders should perhaps ask themselves exactly why they believe it must have been genuine Witnesses who knocked or rang the doorbell or pushed their way into the home.

Just be firm...or tell them you are Jewish or Catholic or Baptist. They will usually leave you alone at that point.
I have never had a problem personally, the kids that come around here are very respectful, they usually just ask to leave a copy of their magazine and then thank me for taking it.

Is it the same people coming by again and again? Perhaps if they won't listen to your request you could mention that you are considering reporting them to the police? Although their methods are perhaps annoying, they are, in their minds at least, only trying to be a blessing to you by sharing with you something they believe to be true.

I've never met any that persistent but they do go from door to door because the Bible says to spread the word, so maybe they hope to save your soul.
