It was proposed that from now on the next $1.00 coins are going to be printed without the "In God We Trust" emblem on the edge.

Hopefully, the U.S. Treasury won't. It was put on for a good reason and needs to be left on there .

I have heard that it was getting to hard to have "in god we trust" wrapped around the outside of the coin.

It's pretty simple; they just take the words off that portion of the press.

Or do you mean "How could they?" in the outraged and indignant sort of the word? This is not a Christian nation, even if most of the people here believe in a form of Christianity. The government is not required -- and I believe they are required not to -- to have any reference to god or other religious figures.

Who told you that? It is on the edge, though i have heard that a bunch of coins were accidentaly missing it because of a minting error.

Well--I'm in favor of leaving "In God We Trust" on curency. But I understand why this is happening.

It's very simple. The religious rigt is intolerant of anyone who disagrees with them---and even more intolerant of religious freedom. They have spend do long trying to shove their version of "Christianity" 9which certainly doesn't resemble what Christ actually taught) down everyone's throats that they have provoked a countrer-reaction. A lot of people are sick of it and pushing back.

That is entiely justified--even though this is not the way to do it. If the religious clts creating the trouble don't like people pushing back, they should't have started the fight in the first place.

Thank the left wing ideologue, America haters PC lawyers now firmly in charge of the three branches of government.

The lawyers run government, with just about 99% of all decisions being made in their interests.

Look at the outer edge of the coin. It is still there its on the outer edge facing out; looks cool that way.

As our currency did not originally have "In God We Trust" on it, it seems to be a perfectly reasonable decision.

Sounds like a good idea. The phrase does not belong on any of our money.

So they could put "In Hillary We Trust" on there.

Damn, that's scary.
