What is the best company as far as value on laptops. I want a good laptop and it has to be under $1000. Please give me a company name. Thanks

the best bang for the buch laptop is the macbook. it starts a $1099 and it comes with enough memory to run multiple programs at once, it features the new intel c2d processor, a built in mic and camera. it can also run windows.

It's hard to say but I have hp and love them.
avoid Averatec have had two of them and both died because the plug in for the power on the mother board came loose.
There might seem cheap but they don't hold out very good.
Bang for the buck value apple has the worst with RAM costing up to double.

The best laptop I have ever used was from Toshiba. I have an older model (newer at the time I got it). Its a Toshiba A105 Satellite. Mine cost around $800 dollars (got it during a sale).

Alienware is probably best, in my opinion. Also, DON'T expect to find a good laptop for under 1 grand. You can either have GOOD, or you can have CHEAP; first rule of ecconomics.
