It's a lot cheaper to hire one owl or one wolf and keep them on retainer than to have to go out and get a new one everytime.

If it's a Hammer Film, it's probably the same sound clip. I notice they use the same barn owl sound for night scenes on those BBC detective shows like Midsomer Murders.

It's not you only man....there are people with you, you are not alone. It's just that those poor producers don't got any originality to make some new music for those kind of movies.
