there were 3 battles of Kharkov. The most notable being the 3rd Battle, where the II SS Panzer Corps beat a Red Army 7 times its size...thus stablizing the collapsing front after the debacle at Stalingrad.

Kharkov halted the Russian advance after Stalingrad and set the stage for Kursk. But it is not a "decisive" battle like the other two. At Stalingrad the German advance was halted and a German Army (the Seventh) was destroyed. At Kursk the last strategic German offensive was repulsed and the German Army was broken.
