Hmmm.could be worth more than a royal flush...don't let anyone Target it. They might try and nickel and dime you.
Note to self: Get 'Velvet Elvis' in jumpsuit painting appraised.

take it to the Antiques Roadshow.... the people on there will go insane for such a rare, never before seen classic piece of velveteen painting. They will most likely tell you to spend a few grand to have it preserved and cleaned and then the sky is the limit.

Yes you should. It was once used for an album cover - I don't recall by who or the name of thegroup nor title of the album..but it does contain the description you gave. It was a rock album.
