I agree with Ashley about the smells of Halloween...Loved the smell of the Christmas tree (the real ones), magic markers, burning leaves and campfires, mountain air, honeysuckle, new cars, the smells of the fair-like candy apples, cotton candy, hot dogs, etc.
From the time I was about 9 til about 18 I was a huge comics fan-almost exclusively Superman and Supergirl...I would go with my mom to the drugstore to buy my comic treasures and in there was one of the best smells ever..I'm not quite sure what it was --I think it may have been the soda fountain-I loved those cherry cokes.

Birthday candles
The fog on an early September morning
Christmas ham
BBQ hotdogs and hamburgers
Downy on my comforter at my parents' house
New Barbie smell
Opening a new box of crayons
The ocean
OOPS, almost forgot:
That greasy smell at the carnival from making french fries and funnel cakes

Plasticine - or Play-doh has a distinct aroma that when I do get to smell it reminds of when I played with as a child. The Johnsons baby oils remind me of them days long gone.

lilacs.

I grew up on the family farm in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't a happy childhood and I don't have fond memories of home.

But we had huge bushes on the farm. While living there, I never appreciated the scent...but now I look forward to the all too short season-it's a welcome smell and one that reminds me that not everything about "back then" was all bad....

One smell that reminds me of my childhood is tuna casserole. My mom would make it if I had a bad day or I was blue. I even make it for my kids today.

I lived in Japan and America for part of the years, because my dad played basketball there. In Japan there was this smell. It's like no other. I can't explain it, but sometimes I will smell something and be like "OMG, this smells like Japan!"

When I was little like 12 I would ride my bike to the next town over and stop in the little pizza shop called "mothers Pizza" and grab a slice of the best pizza until one day we got kicked out!
