It could be any of the above suggestions. Check those out first. If it is still not working well, you will need to dig up the line to find the break or breaks.

Many years ago, my husband and I had to dig line trenches all through our lawn. We found several places which were broken from a little boy who had shot play arrows into the ground. I kid you not! Anyway, we fixed it with sprinkler kits that you buy from hardware stores or a sprinkler systems company. It was very easy to fix.

The nozzle may have a small stone stuck inside, minerals may have clogged the nozzle....then moving back you could have a broken or leaky riser, or a leaky joint where the riser joins the horizontal. After that we are talking break along the horizontal......which might affect other heads on the line, so probably not the cause. I'm going for a clogged nozzle.

You may want to check the path the underground pipes are running through for dampness, if you have any trees or bushes the roots may have damaged the line and it could be leaking.

If it is then you will need to dig it up and patch it.

Also check the sprinkler heads, when one of mine broke it did exactly that.

First check that your water is working from the connection to your house.
