I have a 1963 (or so) cabinet Magnavox hi-fi record player that spins and has a needle but no sound comes out of the speakers. Anyone have a clue as to why this would be and how I might fix it? I can make out the music faintly when the needle runs across the record. I know the speakers work because the radio works.

it may be as simple as getting a new needle. the old one can get wore away.the Best way to get new parts is threw eBay.Also try checking and make sure all the wires are in tack, or just buy new wires.
