I'm a phoneophpbe, and so is my husband ... which is sort of weird, because he told me first ... he was embarrassed by it, but I thought it was WONDERFUL that we 'share' this phobia of phones.
As for your phobia of tornados, it's a 'tornadophobia. I guess that the word is similar to the word phone ... something that just 'works' as a phobia without a 'Greek or Latin word for it. Perhaps because both phones and tornadoes were first 'commom' in the U.S. and not in Europe, where the 'words' for phobias are related to the launguages spoken where they were first recognized as phobias.

My phobia is spiders well I have two phobias. I found a spider in the gerage this morning that looked like a baby turantula I was to afraid to kill it and will never go out there again. My other phobia is elevators I will only use stairs.

Spiders and bugs.. seriously I get sick to my stomach and want to throw up when I see them. The fear of tornadoes and hurricanes is Lilapsophobia.
