I was talking to some one and he says so do you wear hijab and I said no and he says so your one of those girls. So I was like one of what girls? and he said the kind who sleep around?

I mean are you kidding? Sure I don't wear hijab but thats does not mean i'll go sleeping around.

This treatment of women by Muslim men makes me sick to let you know.

Sorry I had to rant! opinions?

The fact is that a major part of Islam is that women are to have their heads covered. In some cases they wear something to cover up their whole body. In some nations it is required that they wear something. The person who talked to you is an uneducated fool who needs to learn manners. I would not let the words of a fool upset you my dear. If you do you will grow old before your time. I would have taken great offense to what he said. I think you should not talk to that person again until he learns some manners. The truth is Islam is not a religion of peace as far as I can see but one of dominance. Many Islamic men feel that women are beneath men, even though they may try to tell you differently. I have done some study in this area. I am so sorry he said that to you it was very unkind. I hope this helped answer your question. =)

I would ask you why a woman that so called sleeps around has to be termed a bad word or sl*t? Just the same as they are doing this to you because you are not cow towing to them by wearing this ornament on your head. The evil? What is the evil and who gets to define what that is? Many think that this religion and government is evil of course I am one of the few that will say I haven't actually studied enough about it to know what the truth is, that is what you need here you need to find your truth with this out of whatever truth you have available to you! You know why they do this and why you don't or do this, don't let them make you feel bad, that is something that you have to decide for yourself I wish Americans could get this more and do more of practicing what they preach instead of telling you how to do it? That is just me though.

First of all to answerer Kosrow Al Mafit you are a total douche and an ignorant bastard. Its morons like you who give my religion a bad name.

Now to answer your question, who ever said that is an idiot just like this moron above. They pass these judgements coz they dont want people looking at the crap they are doing. You dont need to wear a hijab to be a muslim. Nor does anyone have the authority or the right to say that you are not a muslim. These people make me sick, I have to defend my religion because of these morons.
By the way the guy who said that to you needs to be kicked in the nuts.

And Khosrow I reported your stupidass.

the obligation of a muslim is to remind someone specially to a fellow muslim about about acts violated, not to judge, for both be in violation, if the one being reminded continues, it's their own consequence or reward. All is recorded in a clear record.
in the hadith, the teaching is when one sees something needing "straightening", do it(but one can only do that to one's property or jurisdictions, such as family, territory)then if not, by asking them to correct the mistakes, the last would be to pray for their guidance.
in my experience in our locality, women who wear hijabs afforded more respect from the public just as nuns do.Those who do not, especially the pretty ones, mostly gets sexual assaults/comments from the non muslim or even fellow non religious muslims. Knowing you as a muslim and not wearing one tends to condition minds of some males that you are asking for sexual advances which would be quite annoying. It's like showing up to a male friend in a very private area where you have no sex encounter in mind at all.
here in the philippines, better be caught up stealing or other minor crimes than be caught up sexually assaulting/commenting on a muslim woman. But if that muslim woman is not wearing hijab, retaliation is not probable except from immediate family members.
only problem with hijab now is being associated with al qaeda which is quite annoying, but it would be better because it's just words, they won't touch you. They can even get imprisoned just holding the tip of your garments or apprehended if you complained to the authorities.

not al muslim men are like that. Some of them dont like guys it when women wear the hijab. If your muslim and you dont wear the hijab your still muslim if you pray. There could be a women that wears a hijab but doesnt pray and one that doesnt wear a hijab and does pray. Dont let people force you to wear it you can wear it whenever ever you choose to.

I don't wear Hijab and I'm probably the most modest person I know. It is your behaviour that is more important than how you dress. My father and brothers and a lot of my friends have never forced me to wear Hijab, it is only strangers that seem to have a strong opinion!

Thi incident is shocking and this attitude should be condemned, to say the least. If you are a Muslim, sadly, you either have to live with this kind of attitude or you have to fight it. The choice is yours. You may not find this attitude in your immediate family but this moral police is very common in a Muslim society.
I'm sorry that this happened to you. I hope you gave that guy a piece of your mind.

U know what i think? i think women should have their own freedom. I am like a feminist guy. Shouldn't guyz also wear something like hijab? it's not fair to women. And i prefer women who dont wear hijab, i think it is old fashioned, i like modern muslim girlz. Just tell him he is an idiot. Who is that idiot anywayz? if u know u pray 5X's a day and read the Quran, then dont worry. Hijab is not mandatory, it is optional.

not all them view other girls like that.
Muslim men dont force them to do that majority of the time the women agree to it and find it to be okay. They dont treat them bad...the muslim women i know are perfectly fine with wearing a hijab she says people want to know her for her not because she has a beautiful body or the brand new designer wear bag.

You're starting to think for yourself. This is a no-no in Islam. They do not tolerate this sort of thing. I only hope that this will open your eyes to the truth that Islam can only survive by destroying or attempting to destroy anyone who dares to criticize it. That's how the lies of this religion are perpetuated. Jesus said, " And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32). I pray that you will come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
