I went to WalMart to go school & birthday shopping, & my friend bought me cake & ice cream. We had to wait 2 hrs. on a taxi, & all the ice cream completely melted! We had to throw it away. So all I got to have was cake for my b-day.
It's the only cab company in the town. When I called, the driver said it was gonna be 2 minutes. 2 minutes meant 2 hrs.

Yes I would be upset. Very upset. What a rip off. The cab company does not have to give good service because they are the only ones in town. I am so sorry about your ice cream.
You should have left the ice cream in the back of the cab; that would have served him right. LOL

Sure I would be upset but its not the end of the world. Sounds like the Taxi company made an error and perhaps forgot your original booking. It happens. Don't let this cloud your birthday. Turn it into one of those funny life experience stories that you can share with people. The year my birthday ice cream melted! Life's too short to get hung up on these things.

Yes, I would have been very disappointed! I wish you could have found someone to give you a ride. Our cab service in Dayton, Ohio is the exact same way, except it's much worse! Here, you'd be better off catching the bus verses waiting on a cab!

One year for my birthday my kids and husband made me a cake. It was on the counter and we went out for a bit. When we got home the cake was on the floor and the dog was hiding he was so ashamed of himself.
My son cried and my husband was mad. It's okay at least we have people in our life that care enough to try to do something for us.

I think you should not have to wait 2 hours for a cab if you were told it would take 2 minutes. I hope you did not tip the driver.

Yes I would be upset. I wouldn't have waited 2 hrs for the cab though. I would've tried to find another way home.

On my birthday I could'nt have pizza, of which I have about 8 pieces, because I'd gotten Type 1 Diabetes a few weeks before.
But that was'nt someone else's fault. I'd be just as pissed in your situation, if not more.

I would call the owner and manager of the cab company and complain. You were misled and it caused you to lose money.
