i want a ps3 and am leaning towards the 20 gb model because it's cheaper. but what's the advantage of having a flash card reader and a wifi connection because i don't have wifi in my home and am only looking to use it for playing games/movies and maybe online gaming?

I know what you mean. When I was deciding on what version of the PS3 to buy, I was leaning toward the 20GB version also, but I bought the 60GB version.

The 20GB version isn't really that much cheaper than the 60GB PS3 to me, but I think that it is worth the extra 50 bucks to have WiFi, the Flash Card readers, and the extra harddrive space. If you have a digital camera the flash card slots are essential to have, but if you don't have one, get the 60GB PS3 anyway. You could have family or friends over with a digital camera and they could share thier photos with you or vice versa on a T.V. screen instead of viewing them on that small digital camera screen.

As for the WiFi, you never know where you will be and have access to a wireless signal. I thought that I would never use the WiFi either, but I'm using it right now through my college dorm wireless internet connection. You could be carrying your PS3 on a trip and pick up a wireless signal from a place that you thought that had no signal at all.

Basically, you never know what you will end up using in a PS3 or any electronic device that you may buy, so to be safe I think that you should get the 60GB PS3.
