Ask politely. Maybe it is not what you say but how you say it. Obviously the spider is enjoying your books. Books only keep him there. If asking politely doesn't work try throwing a romance novel. He might leave then.

If it throws books, it probably jumps too. Watch out!! Open the door and ask it to leave. The way you are acting, it probably doesn't want to be there.

my daughter (15yrs)has been clomping around in 5"platform fancydress boots today,her and her 18yr old bro are petrified of spiders and her theory is shes 5" further away from them lol gawd knows how many spiders ive saved from teenage screams this week i wouldnt throw books bad enough their getting bigger do u really want them wiser as well unless its a joke book to keep it amused xxx
