T.V. shows are impossible to get produced if you don't have a track record. But if you want to see how it all works, you can go to a 'pitchfest' in L.A. and learn the ropes.

Submissions are usually made through literary agents. It's hard to get signed by one. But not impossible. If you are truly good you should eventually find one. And it's true, they will absolutely not even look at anything unsolicited. The reason for that is if they later produce something even remotely similar they run the risk of a lawsuit. Even if it's not just it's still a pain and an expense to fight it. Luck.

Producers do accept unsolicited scripts or ideas.

Television Studios have staff to write scripts. TV studios cannot accept unsolicited material.

Someone on here was repremanded for submitting an unsolicitied script, to a producer at a studio.

Apparently she did not know the meaning of the word "unsolicited" and was harshly scolded for submitting unsolicited material, to a studio/network and hopefully, she learned a lesson.

If you have a friend or family member that works at a studio/network, ask him/her to pass it along to someone.

Honestly no-one is going to sit down and listen to your ideas. If this is an area that you are interested in get an internship wit a television station, producer, etc. You will have the opportunity to move up and share your ideas.

You have to have the right connections. Producers have 100's of people telling them ideas. You are no different from them.
