I had a new cement walkway made at my house. Because it was raining, the workers covered an area of the walk with a tarp. A day later when they removed the tarp, the area that was underneath had become discolored; 45 feet of the walkway is white, but the last 5 feet is grey-colored.

BTW.. This walkway was put in 10 days ago, and it was been raining off and on since then.

The color will eventually even out. The fact that it's been raining is a good thing and will make the concrete stronger in the long run.

Great news about the rain! Slowing the concrete curing makes it stronger. Yes, it will all even out since it was all poured at the same time. They grey is the moisture still trapped in there.....Be patient.

I think that once given enough time to really dry and the cement cures it will all be one uniform color

It should even out. If it was a Gray tarp it could be stained.

Hi,and once it cures,it will be all one color. Don't forget to hose it down with water everyday,or it will crack. Stop worrying, it will be fine. Bye
