Are you sure they are bees? Wasps and Icheuman flies(They look a bit like lanky wasps) build paper nests under sheltered eaves. Wasps will also build in bushes or in any cavity they can find - in walls or in the ground.

If they are bees they may build under eaves but they prefer to inhabit cavities in walls etc. If they are bees the combs will be white, of wax and vertical.(wasps build horizontal paper combs).

I would recommend just leaving them. Or you could call a beekeeper to give an opinion. It might be a late swarm, but sadly at this time of year it will be of little value...

"A swarm of BEES in MAY is worth a load of hay,
a swarm of bees in June is worth a Silver spoon,
but a swarm of bees in JULY is not even worth a BUTTERFLY!"

Without Honey Bees the world would soon face a food shortage. Honey bees or fuzzy bumble bees seldom sting unless provoked.

I use road flares, light the flare then burn the nest, if any bees get by put the flare in their direction. Get cloes enough and the wing burn off because they are so thin. The smoke drives them away so theres not much chance of getting stung. Best time is probably in the evening when they all come back to the hive.
