All these insects dislike the smell of CARBOLIC ACID.....(otherwise 'phenol').....It is used widely in beekeeping.

A little goes a long way and try to keep it off your skin as it can be absorbed and will restrict circulation.

Sure and you'll smell like a newly cleaned public lavatory but the little stinging barstewards will not bother you!!

Do not wear clothing that has a lot of reds and pink tones, it attracts them (close to actual flower colors,) and do not wear any scented products, deodorant, hairspray or gel, perfume or aftershave. Unscented all the way.

If they do land on you, do not panic and start jumping around, you will startle them and they will be more likely to sting you.

If you have been stung and are allergic, please be sure to have an epipen on you at all times, in order that you have the antidote easily accessible.
