The propaganda in American textbooks and on TV is amazing. It had me for a while. I make one complaint about people here so they will understand and better their lives and they yell at me to leave! I would be more than happy to! There really is nothing here for me, or in the future, my children to look forward to! If you've ever left America at any time, you will tend to find most foreigners have the SAME exact opinion about us! It's the same feeling as when someone leaves a cult or a sheltered religious group and realizes they've been conned.

People say life here is so much better but it's such a lie. Employment numbers here are fixed or manipulated, and big business has been destroying jobs here for years. Americans definitely win the award for most miserable, unfriendly, antagonistic, unhappy people in the world. I mean it.

BTW, I wouldn't brag about your freedom in this country, you're probably not keeping up on the news!

dude, you are a legend. there really should be more people like you.
i keep saying that in my answers, but these people are so brainwashed they don't know right from wrong. national pride, yes it's ok as long as it doesn't distort the reality.
if i was in america, i would definitely not tell you to leave. it's about time the rest of your people stopped being so sugar-coated. i really don't believe anyone who says america is the best. it's not, it's just another country. so you got loads of land-space, big deal. doesn't make you the best.
you're completely correct about the "most miserable, unfriendly, antagonistic, unhappy people in the world" comment. HELLO people, you do have Hollywood! where all the *supposed* "stars" go for rehab for depression/drugs/alcohol etc.
you americans are so deluded if you think you're "free". i would have to write a whole book so you could see how un-free you really are.

I thought about countering your assertions but I realize that, with all that the government and politics have done to our country in the name of money that what you may be perceiving probably does exist.

I would say that the majority of the citizens feel differently than you do and that we are living in the most unique country because of the freedoms we enjoy. But the time is coming very soon when we will have to put up a fight in order to maintain that way of life.

So you're just giving up and leaving? What are you going to do when you get to your "new" country and find that is sucks there even more than here? At least here, we have the Constitution, an ideal worth fighting for. (And I'm not talking about fighting the Muslims or Arabs or Koreans. I'm talking about a political war. It's starting now. ronpaul2008.com)

I've travelled the world over, having been around it no less than five times. Most citizens of other countries take a very "blaze`" attitude about their country and take a negative attitude about the U.S.. Still, so many want to come to America.
The truth is, America has a great deal to be proud of. It is a very young country, but in the grand scheme of things, has contributed more to society and the improvement of life than any other nation the world over.
Italy: gave us banking, checks, credit and artists like da Vinci. That was well before was even dreamed of. Since then what have they contributed?
France? Wine? Cheese?
Any of the countries in Africa... Slavery? Gold, diamonds.
Middle Eastern Countries: Perfume, Algebra, Astronomy, poetry and music. Those were contributed over 1600 years ago. Since then?
As for "freedom," most Americans don't understand what it was Jefferson was reffering to when he wrote the Declaration of Independents. What he was referring to was finance. Those who are in debt are enslaved to their creditors -- they have few options. The more money you have, the greater the number of choices made available to you. And still, unlike certain communist countries, if you truly feel that America holds no future for you, I invite you to leave. Try leaving if you live in say, China or Cuba.

Want to know what is so great about it? You can post such a question, that's why. We are free to voice our opinions. If you don't like something WORK to change it. Vote.

Or just complain about it, if that's what works for you. Or move. Trust me there are ways of leaving. Perhaps you'd like to give Iran a try.

You need look no further than our Constitution and the Bill of Rights to see what sets our nation apart from every other country in the world.

Well, that and our wealth, our freedom, our military might, our technology, our foreign aid contributions, our medical innovations, our movies, our television shows our music, our fashion, our generosity and our strength of heart. And still others!

Perhaps you could name a country that you find to be "special"...We're all so interested.

i will purely talk for myself and from my studies with others whom I consult from as friends and close friends: we don't think of we are God's present to the planet. we could fairly the the remainder of the planet bypass away us on my own. yet for some reason South Korea does not want us to tug our troops out; Israel does not want us to end our distant places help; Mexico does not want us to guard our border with them; the U.N. does not want us to end our investment -- you notice the place this is going? An analogy: if I had a neighbor who grew to become into consistently borrowing money, after a time i could attempt to get him to be taught extra approximately money administration. If I felt that i grew to become right into a effective money supervisor, i could use myself, and my money administration recommendations, as an occasion that he ought to persist with. If i grew to become into King of u.s. of u.s. i could substitute many stuff. i could start up by employing clamping down on the habit of the human beings in the rustic so we could be solely autonomous and does not could desire to rely on the components of different countries. and then i could tell those different countries to take care of their very very own company and to bypass away us the hell on my own. while you're employing the questions, solutions and comments from some thousand people who use this web page to decide a rustic of almost of four hundred million human beings, nicely, you're able to desire to expand your horizons slightly.

If America is so horrible then why do billions and billions of immigrants come here illegally every year because they want to make a better life for themselves?

What makes America so special? Our Constitution and the protection it provides to us and the limits it places on our government's power.
