Child support scofflaws do end up in jail, but only after years of delinquincy....people are jailed for civil contempt, which a child support delinquincy is....
Some states now have websites posting the names and pictures of the deadbeat parents....and before anyone goes on a question rant, yes, it's perfectly legal for states to do that.

No, as long as they are made each month. Nothing in this world is on an exact time table. You can only get arrested if you owe for several months and youve made no arrangements with the courts

The easiest way to end all of your questions would simply be to pay your child support on time. Your children deserve to be supported and have that money come in a timely manner, It is to pay for a percentage of the roof over their heads, household bills, groceries, clothing, cable television, interent access, telephone service, doctor bills, insurance carried on the children, the cost of getting them to and from the doctor/school/before and afterschool activities. It costs money to supply these things for children and your share of the burden needs to be paid on time.

Absolutely not.Just inform the agency in charge of collections or the other parent it is going to be late.then send it when you promise to.Better late than never
