Oh, man! Where to start? I was into Motley Crue, Ratt, Dokken, Kiss, Metallica, Slayer, all kinds of music. Music took a crap in the 90's with all that Seattle Grunge scene. I hear songs now-a-days that remind me of the 80's, and I am loving it. Rock is making a slow, but steady recovery. Hip-hop has to go, sorry.

Fashion? I always dressed however I was comfortable. Usually jeans and a T-shirt, and I didnt, and still dont care what anyone else thinks. So there you have it.

Who really cares about fashion? The best part about being alive, is having the freedom to be who you wanna be. I dont buy Levi Jeans because someone in Hollywood or London said they are cool. I wear them because thats what I like.

p.s. Is that Boy George as your Avatar?

Early 80's was Boy George and George Michael. Late 80's was Quite Riot, Ratt, Cinderella, Poison, Linnard Skinnard, AC/DC, Journey, Van Halen, The Eagles, Def Leppard, Guns & Roses, Iron Maiden, Metallica, just to name a few. I live in LA and was a groopy for Tommy Gun but they only got as far as to play at the Troubador and a few other hot spots. Music hasen't changed other that mostly rap...which I hate and the 80 fashion is coming back. I saw clothes with dolman sleaves and layering again. Hope this helps.

rock was the music, my style was was the rebel look . I wore a vest made out of on old jean jacket, with all the bands' logos hand drawen on the back. Doing the Wings logo was the hardest. the music has changed some, styles have changed as well.

I listened to alot of the "hairband" and still actually do. Saw Poison in concert a few weeks ago and they still rock! I don't think the music has changed, just what has become mainstream has. Alot of the bands in the 80's are still around and still touring. My fashion has definitly changed - no more big hair! haha

I liked just about everything back then: even country and rap were pretty good (I hate country music now). My favorite group in the early 1980s was Def Leppard; by the late 1980s I liked REM and U2. The "big hair" that women often sported was sexy, but the yuppie look was awful.

I listened to all 80's music, but preferred rock and heavy metal. Average was my style. Music today is horrible in my opinion and fashion is cyclical. What's old will become new again.

Love the 80 music! It ROCKS!!
I still listen to it and my kids ask me how can you listen to that stuff. I told them when they are my age they will go back and listen to the music that was once there favorites of all time.
