doesn't the period last longer? cause the blood that has to come out is blocked. is there a way to lessen the blood during our periods? things besides birth control? i noticed that when i stretch out my legs and get active during my period the blood comes out more later on.

No it doesn't make your period any longer,good personal hygene is a plus especially on your period,It can really smell when your on your period and You should take care of yourself,The blood is gonna come out reguardless of what you do,So it is always better to keep it clean and as fresh as you can in this time :)

The blood is NOT blocked. It does not stop flowing nor does it become a lighter flow in water.

Birth control would be the only way to lighten your periods.

Its fine to use swim while on your period but you need to use a tampon. if you use a pad the water will get in it and the blood will come out in the water. a tampon will keep that from happening. but be careful to use the tampon like it says on the box. put it in the right way and dont keep it in for more than like 5 hours at the most. have fun and enjoy your vacation. now go swim..

What does showering have to do with your period lasting longer? And I really hope you do shower while your on your period.

what makes you think that a shower blocks the blood?? That makes no sense. What does that even mean.....

shower at least everyday when on your period!
