Shazad, the first thing you need to know is how much you can afford to purchase, and you need a professional to tell you that. I suggest you contact several local lenders in your area. Ask about their loan programs and select the one the suits your financial situation best. Ask them to pre-qualify you for a loan. I suggest local lenders because if something goes wrong with the loan process you want to be able to walk into their office and speak with them. An internet company will be difficult at best to even get on the phone.

Next you are going to make a list with two columns. Under Column #1 you are going to list everything the property "must have". And under the second column what you would "like to have".

Next visit open houses in the area you would like to live and talk with each agent. You are really interviewing them about their expertise in the neighborhood and the business. When you find one that you feel is competent, ask them them to help you find a home. Now give them the list.

Shazad, you are well on your way. You have set the plan in motion for a successful purchase.

Good Luck!

Right now with a pristine credit rating, less than that and you are going to be looking a long time or pay HIGH double digit interest rates.

If you have a property picked out the get a buyers agent andthey will assist you.

Find what you want .
Offer cash .

Or if you don't have cash you will need a loan called a mortgage .

Now you will need about 2 yrs verifiable income / employment , 20% down and a FICO over 700 .
