My pinky finger is broken i've been to the orthopedist and i have a splint around my whole hand i have to go back in two weeks to get an update, there is no pain at all. Does anyone have advice to help it heal quickly? ( I am missing most of volleyball season)

keep it in the splint like the Dr,said and it will heal fast
don`t move the finger so the bones can grow back together

Miss the whole season if necessary. If you decide to remove the splint early and play, you run the risk of a re-breaking (with a permanent misshaped finger) or arthritis with its perpetual pain. Follow the doctor's advice for the long term effect.

It may be. I understand that you don't have insurance till March, but you will have to allow someone to POSSIBLY break it and set it IF IT IS BROKEN because your finger MAY grow crooked and the break / set possibility that would have to be done to correct it would be the only solution. Talk to the place where you would normally go for treatment in your area for xrays. See if they will work out a payment plan with you. Tell them you will have insurance, and the type it is, in March.
