I HAD to change the tub..got the old one out..got the piping all right in place, and now I can't get the bathtub in...anyone have any ideas?
Or: How hard is it to replace a bathtub with a stand up shower?

Okay, I tried that the"is" and it did not work. *sigh*
it is the same size, we've measured it many times..esp since we couldn't get the &#%& thing in...any other suggestions/ideas? Would it be harder to put in a stand up shower?

it isn't a one piece unit..it's just a tub, the walls are in already..Sorry I didn't include that

Sorry, but we almost always have to cut out a chunk of the wall at one end of the tub or the other to get it in. Then tilt one end up, slide the back end into the wall and lower the front and pull it forward. You didn't say what kind of tub so I will assume its a one piece steel unit. Heavy and a real pain to get in.

if its not a one piece shower=tub and its the same length&with,it will go in,,,,,turn on edge,tilt ti,push it, in,push,,once iroom ,lay against wall away from water supply,slowly slide down end against wall,pull up on opsite end til it slides easier to do then say<>IS<>
