I woke up today with a tear in my eye
Its been nearly a year since we had to say goodbye
Its been so hard since u went away
God took you and we live with the pain every day
I look at the pictures the smile on ur face
A smile and a laugh no one can replace.
Come the 4th September we will relive the day
That our hearts broke and we were never the same
On that day we will relive the pain
Of never having you here again
I cant believe Its been a year
I think of you every day
What you are doing and if your ok
Do you look down on us
From the blue skies
Do you hear our prayers and here our cries
I miss our chats you were so understanding
Always the first one to lend a hand
We miss you everyday
I know I keep saying it
But I cant believe god took you away
He must of needed an angel
And I know he chose the best
I hope your looking down on us
As we eat and play and rest
You are our guardian angel
I know your still around
You never leave our hearts
Even when we are down
We love you more than ever
And your memory lives on
For we will tell the story of great uncle phil
Even now that you are gone.

Every time you think of him, see his angel looking at you from behind him. See it telling you he his being looked after until you meet again.

I'm sorry for your loss.
Having never been a poetry fan so I am not well placed to comment on your work.
I always have held the opinion that grief should be a private matter and as such do not understand your choice to share your sadness with strangers.

I love it, rhirhi, and I'm so sad for your loss.
Hopefully, you receive great comfort from speaking of (and possibly to) your uncle. Your sentiments are, indeed, very strongly worded. One minor criticism that I have, if you're willing to accept it is that for such a poem, that obviously means a great deal for you, I don't think you should have used 'text speech'. Overall though, a brilliant poem. You certainly show great talent.

This piece of writing conveys your deep sense of loss and I hope expressing it helps you.
However,as a poem , it lacks any meaningful imagery. Also, poetry is,for the most part, subject to the same rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation as any other writing and as such this piece needs substantial revision.

It is a wonderful tribute to your uncle whom you can tell you loved very much. Losing a loved one is hard to deal with, but time does heal the pain, a little each day.
