If they're something like a .22, it's doubtful they'd ever penetrate the frame even if they did go off which is very, very unlikely. Now if they're for your elephant gun...In addition, if you or your friends use your frame as an ash tray, I'd look into removing them.

If you don't want them rolling around, is there any way to squirt some of the expanding foam insulation into the hole? It would expand and immobilize your little friends.

Bullets yes, ...Cartridges, no.
Even a small cartridge could harm a welder
working on the frame at some future date.

If they're pistol, or rim-fire cartridges, you can
safely "cook them off" with a torch as long as
you don't overheat the frame, (Under 600 F.).

Within 2 years the bullet casings will rust (whenever you have 2 dissimilar metals touching one another will cause a acceleration of chemical breakdown) and may cause one of the bullets to explode. another problem might incur if you have the cycle out for a long time and build up enough heat one or more bullets might explode. the most likely senerio is the chemical breakdown.

If the are rimfire bullets you need to remove them. The electricial system of your bike could cause them to fire.

You don't plan on driving into a fire anytime soon. It should be fine.
