Yes, and it was boring as hell... well, for most people there. I kinda liked it. I love law, and this was an eminent domain case. I ended up being the odd man out and I actually convinced the rest of the jury to swing my direction. It took two hours and a lot of good notes. The other jurors wanted to award $0 to a family for damage due to the loss of a parking lot, but I convinced them to award $500,000. Mostly I think it was because they didn't care and just wanted to go home.

I have always wanted to be on a jury and when my "invitation" arrived, I was disappointed to have to decline due to the impending birth of my first child.
Am currently pregnant again and looking forward to opening another invite!

yeah, caught a murder trial, tied up almost 6 months, then we ended up with a hung jury

not yet, no. got a notice in the mail when i was stationed in Riverside, CA, but it arrived the day before i was shipped out to Japan, so i got out of that one. wouldn't mind serving, just to see what it was like.
