I'd take it to a police station. That much money in an abandoned bundle has to lead to some gross felony - and an offence of that scale is an offence against us all. We are all part of a social contract, from which each of us benefit in our own way. To breach it diminishes ourselves, no matter what the profit. The fact that so many do, and profit mightily, and not only get away with it but reap even adulation, is no reason to belittle ourselves as individuals worthy of respect. Ho hum. And so it goes.

A bit of a hypothetical question this is...

The thought of someone "losing" a million dollars is beyond serious comprehension since that person would surely notice a little thing like that! Either that person would be borderline insane at such news or be indifferent, like a Paris Hilton.

Either way, I would contact the nearest police since it's simply NOT MINE.

I would turn it in, i have lost money myself on more than one occasion, and only got it back once, that really sucks, and a million dollars is too much money to hide so the people that lost it are bound to find out who found it, and knowing my luck they will be really really bad people x x

I would not keep it because if someone had 1 million dollars on them it was because they were paying a ransom or they just robbed a bank and i would not want to get in the middle of either.

I figure that the person who was caring around a million dollars all at once was not using it for good purposes. so i'll keep it and consider it a good deed by teaching them not to carry that much money all at once

turn it in OR hold on to it , Post a notice in the paper about finding a sum of $ not the amount, wait 30 days and then it is yours if the rightful owner doesnt claim it

Turn it in, but get a very good receipt and perhaps have someone take a video. I would hope for a reward, but probably not get one. It would probably be dirty money. Who carries around so much cash, except for criminals?

I'd take half and turn the rest in. I only need half! Maybe not even half. Just about ten thou, and then who cares about the rest?
