I haven't watched this year's X-factor but judging by shows I've seen in previous series the answer is a definite Yes.
And think about this...
I would assume that not all of the people who turn up actually see the judges - there are just too many of them. If I'm right then the producers deliberately select people who are going to be humiliated on national TV for our 'entertainment'.

I think most of the one's they show for comedy value have some sort of learning difficulty. The question I ask is why as the person's family member would you let someone go on the telly when they clearly cannot sing! They should be blamed not the people who take the mick!!! They all know what the show is like and how they like to expose the people who are crap!!!!!!!

Yes but then so have the judges! The entire show is contrived from beginning to end and so repetitive.
e.g. simple Simon sucks on his pen before declaring "that's the worst version of that song I've ever heard" or "you're through to the next round sweetheart"
Then there's always one contestant with a sob story that you just know is going through!
Dump this trash!

I am sure some people who audition do have learning difficulties and are able to sing as well, did you know some autistic people are pitch perfect?

I have to agree, but also think that it is a bit of a fix and that these people are possibly actors, like the Welsh girl on Saturday night

I think some but other just haven't a clue how bad they are. Look at that women this weekend that was really abusive and ugly. She much be seeing something else when she looks in the mirror

Yeah, some of them arent completly right, though some are disillusioned like the ugly horrible freaky abusive one on saturday.
