There can be two yellow lights on a 93 Accord depending on what model you have. If it's an Anniversary Edition, EX or SE, it could be the Check Engine light or the ABS light. Since you called it a Check light, you are probably referring to the Check Engine light.

It is indicating a fault in one (or more) sensor controlled by the PGM-FI computer. Since there is a fault, it is assuming a default value for that sensor which might make the car run rough or less efficiently. Underneath (to the right) of the passenger side dashboard, you will see a little blue taped Grey connector. If you insert a paper clip or bare wire into both terminals of that connector shorting it out, then turn the key to ON, the check engine light will flash a series of codes that will tell you what the problem is. The table below will help you cross reference the flashes to what sensor is bad.

the On-Board Diagnostic System (OBD I ) tests all of the emissions control system components during the operation of the vehicle. When a sensor or sub-system fails the OBD I test two times in a row the system determines that there is a problem with a component or with the way the vehicle is running that could lead to excessive vehicle emissions.

there are about 100 reasons that the light could be on. When a fault is detected a code is stored in the control computer. that code will tell you what the sub-system, sensor or component has been judged faultyMy recommendation is to take it to a place such as AutoZone parts store or AAMCO transmissions to have them "pull the code". Both of those companies advertise that they will do that for free. . You can then go from there in determining what to do.

hope that helps
