Then he will keep the war going, with his electorial votes to keep his war machine in power.. and ignore the popular vote...

I think he has a general of the armed forces in charge of the cia... so he can do a terrorist attack here, like he allowed on 911..

and then claim marshall law.

he will do this if his regime will lose power in any way

1st. win by electorial votes, if he has enough power in congress..

2. declare marshall law..

do not you think this is why he chose a general, and did not want him to resign..

either way the american people loose with bush..

I think he wants out so he will leave a legacy other than the war. He has not been able to find a way to exit and address all the problems at the same time. I think he chose a General because we would believe the General as opposed to President Bush would know what to do. But of course, the politicians have not allowed the Generals to run wars since President Eisenhower was president.

I am in favor of bringing them home now. Recently I read that we have sent over 30 billion dollars to Iraq and we don't know where over 6 billion of it went? This war is turning our professionals warriors into untrained policemen and causing their deaths. It has gotten worse in the past four years, not better.

But I don't know what we will do with all the National Guard troops that have had their jobs filled, what about all the companies that have hired thousands to meet the demand for ammunition, Humvees, and so forth. Many people will be out of work. I think we can handle that, but apparently our politicians have not agreed on a plan. Meantime, good Americans keep getting killed.

quite a manifesto my friend...unlikely, but your enthusiasm is apparent. do a bit more research and discover that martial law would do more than just take away many of the rights you take as entitlements.

you can be sure the Iraq problem will be no closer to resolution by the 08 election. U.S. military casualties will top 5000 dead, additional thousands wounded, the Iraqi population even more fractured and bent on killing each other.

Yes, surrender is not even a consideration.

And the Democrats are going to keep fighting, too. They are just fooling the gullible & ignorant when they say different.

And it was Clinton that encouraged 9/`11, in more ways than one.

Sandy Berger stole & destroyed classified documents to protect Clinton from the 9/11 Commission Investigation.
Did you miss that somehow????

If Bush was going to use the marshall law card, he would have already done so. It is counter productive for the rich to inact marshal law. Who is then going to pick up their garbage and clean their toilets?

Wow.
All conspiracy theories and political views aside, I kinda think you're an idiot.
Conspiracy theories back in, this has to be one of the most far-fetched I've ever heard. But it's really pointless to debate. Come the end of his term in office, we'll see who was right and who was ridiculous.

Oh, and it's martial law, by the way. If you want people to believe you, learn spelling and grammar, or join the countless ranks of sidewalk fanatics, holding signs that read "The end is neer."

Bush does what he thinks is best for the safety and security of our nation, he's doing exactly what he said he would after 9-11. When his Generals say we can bring the troops home, he will.

Look at Presidential Directive 51, following that he can implement martial law, disband congress, and call off the elections.

I think George will be quite happy to get out of the white house and back to the quiet life of Crawford Texas.
