Karma is a very powerful force. People get caught up in doing things and the things they do come to define their lives since they can't be undone. The world they live in is determined by their actions, users get used. Karma is only overcome by Dharma. This is why St. Paul says we should be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

Karma is the result of our actions. If you bang your head against the wall, the result is pain. If you break the law, you are a lawbreaker, subject to the penalties inflicted upon lawbreakers.
But there is a moral dimension that goes along with this too. In this sense Karma is a balancing of forces. Due to the brevity of life, some of the balancing has to occur in future incarnations. I personally think that criminals like Stalin and Hitler forfeited the right to be human, and will have to live many lives as incects before they have the right to become human again.

Yes, karma happens.
By living life from the perspective of the mind. just randomly going witrh this, or that, reacting, and make decisions, or choices,
then yes, the beautiful universe shows us, what or who and how we are in the world, by bringing that experience to us. Also we are saying this is who we are, this is what we believe in, so the universe provides this.
We are creative beings.
To live beyond the mind,
from the heart, the thinking heart, then in following this intuitive knowing,
the lessons of the mind are not required in the way as illustrated above.
You would not get on the aeroplane that crashes.
Living from the heart is a different way of living.
It has its own insights, lessons, and learnings.
One can still learn from karma,
as it is difficult to live from the heart continously in this world. That is a another lesson.
Bless you for the question

Most certainly. The ancient Vedas which are the original how too books sent by God after the Creation it is said "what goes around comes around." That is why a baby is born sick or blind or healthy or in a wealthy family family or wealthy. One must understand Karma and reincarnation and no one goes to hell eternally to understand the unlimited mercy and love of God. In a nut shell- We are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can return to the eternal Kingdom where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy.
For info. Go to harekrishnatemple.com Read Bhagavad Gita- As it is by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada asitis.com you can read it on line.

Karma doesn't mean if you do something bad, something bad is going to happen to you. Karma is like a measurement of your soul on how negative or positive it is. The better your karma, the better your reincarnation you get (your soul gets to pick a body more suited for it). And the worse your karma the less control your soul has over its next reincarnation, and as a result, your body is less suited to your soul (An example of this is suposedly tomboys and tomgirls. So a tomboy's soul is better suited than the opposite sex, but due to karma, didn't get to decide the sex).

I believe that 100%.. I am a firm believer in past lives... When ever you experence dejavu that is coming from a past life a memory if you will... I am drawn to people with good karma... I go with my gut feeling on a person that is what tells me alot about someone... if I get bad karma they are not a part of my life...karma comes in many forms... and I do believe what energy you put out will come back to you, sometimes ten fold...so be careful what you wish for, who you pass judgement on or turn your back on....

"As you sow, so shall you reap". Karma has been defined by many philosophers and teachers. It is not magic. If you talk hatefully you will naturally attract hateful people. If you are a thief, you will gravitate toward like minded people. And there is no honor among thieves. You may not see what comes around to those people, they may not even see it themselves, because they get so caught up in their own tangled webs of deceit. If you stay focused on the right path, and forgive those who trespass against you, you may be in their world but no longer of it.

I do believe in karma in the sense that it resides within you: we inherit certain characteristics eg intellegence, capacity for creativity, for loving, for altruism. Those are aspects of karma, but is how you use these attributes which will ultimately determine your life. There is some free will involved: think of the biblical story of the ten talents.

Yes and no. I don't believe in it in the sense that you will be rewarded for doing something good and punished for doing something bad. However, I do believe that by doing good things, you will be more likely to feel contentment, whereare doing bad things could lead to guilt. It's not guaranteed, of course, as nothing in life is certain, but perhaps doing something nice for someone else will make your day a little better.

i believe that if you are mean, deceitful, disrespectful, or malicious, that you deserve whatever bad fate comes to you. I don't know that I believe that karma is an actively present force in the universe, but i definitely try not to be an asshole, and for the most part life isn't real hard for me.
so there you go...
