The best thing to do is to go to the doctor and get checked out, since there are lots of reasons, both physical and psychological, that this could be happening. There may be something out of whack with your glands, hormones, or your ovaries that could be remedied. If you're exercising a lot or are very thin, that could do it; your body will shut down ovulation (and therefore menstruation.) Depression or extreme stress can also be factors, as can some medications. I've linked to a couple of articles here with more information -- you have what's known as secondary amenorrhea, since you have had your period in the past.

You are a normal teenager that has irregular cycles. I would suggest going to the gyno to get check out to make sure it is just your period having a mind of its own. Discuss this with your mom because she is going to need to make an appt. for you. hopefully it is nothing worse (which is a slim chance at your age). A lot of teenage girls periods do this type of thing. Make sure that you are not under a lot of stress, eating correctly (starving yourself and throwing up your food a big no no), and not over exercising. These are 3 other factors that can cause you not to have a period.

well first of all go to the doc right away. I'll just add that high energy activites like running all the time might not leave anything for the period. Although its ALOT of activity, say running 7 - 12 miles each day. But the doc is the expert so git going

you haven't said how old you are, but if you started your period 3 years ago and did actually have some periods then this is a big problem. You should go and see your doctor and consult with your GYNOB.

many things beside pregnancy can stop your period. hormone imbalance, excess weight loss, stress. Make an appt with a gynocologist, they can find out why they stopped, get them going again, and make sure that everything is healthy. Good luck

If you are very athletic it can be irregular. If you are that concerned have your mom take you to the doctor. Personally though, I'd take it as a blessing!

I would go to the dr. and have them do some test to figure out why your not getting your period.
