You don't have to go to the hospital at all to deliver a baby! Many people use a midwife with good results. Other than that, I think you just have to fill out all the paperwork, register the birth and do feet prints and stuff.
Plus, they CANNOT force your baby to have shots if you don't want them. Plus that junk they put in their eyes HURTS! Don't let them do it if you know you don't have syphillis.

Gee, most woman are complaining they want to stay in. You can check yourself and baby out, but if something happens, you can be held responsible. Your Doctor will be off the hook. After having a baby, I don't think you are going to want to go anywhere.

Well Here they hold you for 24 hours before letting you go.They have to do tests on your baby and make sure you and the baby are both fine. I would say no.

You can leave early (AMA -- "against medical advice") but if there is a problem later on with you or yoru child's health, you will have seriously compromised your ability to blame (or sue) the hospital or doctors.

Just stay there until they discharge you...the food can't be that bad....

it's a hospital NOT a jail sure you can leave, best to follow your doctors instructions, but if you insist you can sign your self out and leave

I totally agree-your baby's health is worth it. Why would you want to compromise that? I mean, they know more about your baby at that point than you do.

Yes, you can legally, but why would you want to? Don't you think there is a reason why your doctor wants you there?
