Of course, but you would probably have to travel to the new lands by yourself though.

It seems like people have ignored the other part of your question. No, if you have the original Guild Wars and buy Nightfall you won't have access to everything. The first three titles are in most respects stand alone titles. Buying Nightfall won't unlock the Factions continent or content. Nor will it unlock the new expansion coming out next week called Eye of the North. Like they said, though, yes you can play your original Prophecies character in Nightfall as closest I can tell. I have been trying to get my Factions character over to Prophecies for a while now and simply can not find the guy who is supposed to give the quest to import my character over.

Yes you can. Just be sure to link your Nightfall key-code to your Guild Wars account.

After you've linked them, there is a quest in Lion's Arch (which is named along the lines of "Assisting the Sunspears". I would either recommend some friends or be pretty strong before you do it. Most of the monsters are in the 20s.) There is a difficult little mini-dungeon and you will be on the starting island of Nightfall with all your skills and equipment intact. Note that many of the early Nightfall quests will be unavailable for your character, but all the missions will be available.

A original character can wear and wield equipment from Nightfall just like the equipment from GW:P. They can also get and equip all the appropriate Nightfall's skills. (90% of all skills in Nightfall have to be purchased. The rest all have to be captured. You will start off with several 'hero' skill points though, and you can spend those at hero skill trainers to get some extra skills.) You could even change your secondary to one of Nightfall's unquie classes.

You will not get access to anything from Factions or Eyes of the North. Those are purchased seperatly.

Yes you can, but you will need to find a guy in your old expansion and do a quest for him to enter Elonia.

Also, you need to get nightfall and install it to your account before talking to the guy or else he will not have an exclamation mark on his head
