Since 192 is 60% + 100% of a number, then 192= 160% so just divide 192 by 1.6 to find the original number.

Say the number is A.
(60% X A) + A = 192
(60/100 X A) + A = 192
(3/5 X A) + A = 192
8/5 X A = 192
A = 192 X 5/8 = 120.

Let 'x' be the unknown number.

Then:-
x(60/100) + x = 192
60x + 100x = 19200
160x = 19200
x = 19200/160
x = 120
