1. Outline your life on a piece of paper. You can draw pictures to remind yourself of where you were born, where you have lived, where you have gone to school, the things you have done and the places that you've seen. You can include things like the names of your friends or your pets, even your favorite foods, colors, or sports teams. Do you have hobbies then include those.
2. When you have finished, take a break. Get up and walk around the house or the yard. Have a snack. Think about what you have written.
3. Then sit back down and read what you have put down on the paper. Did you remember new things? Okay, include those, too.
4. Once you are satisfied with your outline. What strikes you the most about your life? Think about it for a couple of minutes.
5. Now you are ready to begin writing. The first thing you need is an opening sentence. For example:
Once upon a time, a young girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Smith at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
or
Ever since I was a young girl, I have loved to read.
or
My lifelong best friend is Bobby, the boy next door.
Then just keep writing. Honestly, that's all there is to it -- nothing more, nothing less. This is "your" autobiography so you can include as much or as little detail as you choose.
Good luck. I hope you get an A.

The best advice ever given about writing is, "Write what you know". Write conversationally, as if you are telling a good friend about yourself. Concentrate on important things, and always tell as many stories as possible. And don't hurry. It took a long time to live your life, it will take a long time to reflect it on a page. Edit yourself ruthlessly, and at all costs, have fun with the process. Write an outline first, then "flesh" it out. Good luck.

It is difficult to give guidelines for righting an autobiography when you don't say what is wrong that needs correcting. (I can only assume you mean correcting when you say righting).
If you are looking for some ideas about how to write an autobiography, the first thing I would suggest is to live several years so you will have something to write about.
Perhaps you could take some English classes on the way.

Write what you recall of happy or sad times in childhood, perhaps a bit about your parents. Write about your aims in life, what you want to be after school, if you have a job now and what it is, if you have favorite colors/music/art/books...
just things along those lines.
Keep it short and in order, from your youngest age (that you remember) to the present.
