I would do everything I could to kill the s.o.b. or hurt him so bad that he suffers. Then of course the law would probably blame me for killing or hurting someone who broke into my house in the middle of the night with intent to harm me.

I'd take my broadsword(I practice Wushu),call the police and then I'd wait for him.If he tries to touch me I'll beat the s**t out of him until the police arrives.
