Seriously, the media has hyped it up so much that there's a lot to live up to. Does true love exist anymore? Or is it just a fable?

Love does exist and it's not a fairy tale. The media just likes to mess things up and get society their attention while they still can.

Love does exist but its not the love at first sight that you see in the movies.
Love is when you care for someone more than yourself.
It also takes work....there will be times when you are having the best time of your life w/ your significant other while there will be other times when you wont want to be bothered with them.
Love is pretty much caring and showing affection for another and once you fall into it, you feel like you are at the top of the world, but if you lose it......well you will be in a depressed state.
Love is also a mutual feeling in which 2 people have for each other............if only one has the feeling, then it is simply infaturation.
Love and lust can also feel the same, but you know its love when you keep the feelings over time.
Love should also be unconditional, you should not "love" any less when you are mad at your partner.

Love is actually a fairly recent thing in our society, at least for it to be so widespread and accepted as the norm in terms of a relationship. In the past it was almost viewed as a sickness! But that ALSO MEANS IT EXISTED.
I really like to think it does. Otherwise life would be just a little more boring and in the end, even if I'm so stuck in such an illusion, I'll live out that fantasy non existent.

If you ask me, love and hate fall on a spectrum. Love is at one end and hate is at the other, but oddly, this spectrum knows no ends, because emotions can know incredibly great strength that might not fall on said spectrum. Someone might have even stronger emotions then those however, be they love or hate. I think love exists, but in a series of everlasting levels, and hate is the same way. You can always love more, or love less, and hate more and hate less. That being said if you truly love someone, you would know it, and this powerful love emotion couldn't possibly fall on that spectrum, thats why the spectrum knows no ends. I think love exists, but it's only an opinion. You'd have to make up your own mind on that one.

Love isn't just between two people. It can be between you and your mom, a sibling, friends. True love is loving someone so much that you can't live without them. True love does exist, but to achieve it, you have to dedicate yourself to that person. If you're talking about love between a guy and a girl, those two people have to dedicate themselves to each other. True love is dedication and honesty between two people willing to do anything for one another. I don't know if I've ever been in love, but I do know it exists. If you love someone (regardless of whether it's Platonic or not), then you know it exists. You have to work for it to get it to a level of purity though.

Not a fable it really does exist and it's wonderful. It does have problems like everything else but it is such a beautiful thing when you have someone that if the leave for a long period of time you feel like someone have taken the breath from you.

Miss Trillium, Sweety have you been hurt ? Yes true love is out there. But unfortunetly the satanic powers in our world are doing their best to stop it ! For me the problem has always been finding a girl,now women to fully comitt ! But yes it can be a reality if both ,a guy and a girl are both in love and comitted !

You just have to find the right person. I found the love of my life. She is so amazing. I feel so blessed to have her. We are getting married soon. Keep looking. You will find it sometime. Just don't give up.
