If you rode Griffon and liked it, you will be fine on Kingda Ka. Griffon's queue is right below the ride itself, and you get some nice close up views (and photo ops) of the big drop. If you are able to get through that line (saw a few people bail while I was waiting) while watching the ride and hearing people screaming, you can handle Kinga Ka. Also, you have already ridden a coaster with a 90 degree drop, so you are ok there.
I was a little nervous myself before riding Kingda Ka for the first time, mostly because of the launch. The launch didn't seem as intense as some people said it would be, it just seemed really, really fast. :) The ride will be over with before you are really able to realize what is happening.
I say go for it! You only live once after all. If you don't like it you don't have to do it again. It is ok to feel a little nervous, and that is what makes it fun anyways. The "worst" part of it is sitting there looking at the track in front of you waiting to launch. After that, its cake. Sure, it is huge, but you barely have a half a second or so to notice how high you are once you reach the top.

Griffon is no where near what Kingda Ka is. KK launches you out of the station up a 400 foot high hill where Griffon only drops you down a 90degree drop that's only about 200 feet. The question really should be, have you ridden Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point? If yes, then you should do fine with KK. If not, well then, I'm sure it'll be intimidating, but also fun at the same time.

Just ride it. I have had fears about certain rides before, but once i tried them, they were really fun. Just get on, and ride the ride.

just go on it and whenever you get scared just remember that its actually more dangerous driving there and go on it when the que is small so you dont have to think about it to long and if you get scared then close your eyes and holed on tight
