my son has an mp3 player that has some songs on it and he needs to delete some of them but the file that he had dissappeared from the computer and now when u plug in the usb all the mp3 player says is ready but it doesn`t post the songs on the media player that he has on there so that he can delete and or all of them how do i go about getting the file back on the media player? thanks for all yall can do!!

Not sure what type of mp3 player your son has, but sometimes those things die and you can't access the material on the drives. I know that that happened to me with one of my older sandisk players not too long ago. Windows XP should just recognize the drive without any extra programs. Also, I would recommend checking the manufacturers website for any answers.
