I think you can if you know the person at least on line for a while. There will be subtle differences to how what they say and how they say it.
But there is always a margin for misinterpretation too depending on you, your mood, how your day was, or if you're tired.
So my decisive answer would be, it depends.

Yes because there feelings tend to come out with what they say but there are those people who can fake being happy so it really depends on the people.

Maybe, maybe not...I usually have a silly answer when I'm answering ridiculous questions, but that doesn't necessarily have to mean that I'm at my quirkiest either.lol

I guess the more and more you spend time here you learn that.
Somehow you get used to regular answers and "feel" their writtings.

if it's someone i'm familiar with I can usually pick up on it. in PS i sometimes get the feel that they may be angry, sad, etc. but can we know for sure if we don't know them?
